Best Mobile Bike Repair in London 2026: 9 Services Ranked

Nine London mobile bike repair services scored on 11 criteria on 8 Oct 2026: Tyred 18/20, Domex Bikes 14, NipNip 13. Prices, call-out fees, hours, e-bikes.

Data checked on 8 October 2026. Every score comes from what each business publishes on its own website and Google Business Profile, plus Google and Trustpilot ratings read on the same day. Prices are for a standard (non-electric) bike unless stated otherwise.

Tyred is the best mobile bike repair service in London in this comparison, with 18 points out of 20, ahead of Domex Bikes (14), NipNip (13), and Bike Hero, Cycle Maintenance UK and Fettle (12 each). Tyred is the only one of the nine services that covers all 33 London boroughs, takes bookings from 9am to midnight seven days a week and states an emergency response time, which it puts at around 30 minutes. It loses points on review volume: 36 Google reviews, against 412 for Fixed on Bikes and 747 for NipNip.

Key takeaways

  • Scores out of 20: Tyred 18, Domex Bikes 14, NipNip 13, Bike Hero 12, Cycle Maintenance UK 12, Fettle 12, Fixed on Bikes 11, CC Cycle Services 10, The Bike Doctor 9.
  • Coverage is the biggest divide. Four of the nine services name a single part of London (NipNip, Fixed on Bikes, CC Cycle Services and Cycle Maintenance UK), and The Bike Doctor publishes no area at all. Tyred is the only one that states coverage of every London borough.
  • Evening repairs are rare. Only two of the nine publish hours after 8pm: Tyred, until midnight seven days a week across London, and Cycle Maintenance UK, until 11pm on weekdays and 10pm on Saturdays in south-east London and Kent. Fixed on Bikes charges £25 extra for appointments after 6.30pm, and only when a slot is available.
  • The call-out fee changes the real price. A single puncture at your door costs £57.50 with Fixed on Bikes in Wandsworth (£15 labour, £7.50 tube, £35 call-out) and £44.64 plus parts with Domex Bikes. Tyred charges £30 for a front puncture, with no call-out fee within 3 km of its nearest base.
  • Motor and battery repair at home is rare. Cycle Maintenance UK says it diagnoses and repairs motor and battery faults on Bosch, Shimano STEPS and MAHLE systems within a service. Tyred refers motor, battery and controller faults to an authorised service centre, and Domex Bikes sends faulty motors to a repair partner.

How the nine services were scored

“Mobile bike repair” covers three different services in London. A mobile mechanic repairs the bike where it stands, at home, at work or by the kerb. A collect-and-return service picks the bike up and fixes it in a workshop. A workshop chain with a pickup option sits somewhere in between. A rider with a flat tyre at 7pm needs the first kind, so this ranking gives the most weight to repairs done on the spot and to how much of London a service actually reaches.

Most published lists for this search are old. The Evening Standard’s list of London’s mobile bike repairers dates from 2021, and London Cyclist’s roundup from 2010. This comparison uses only information captured on 8 October 2026.

Each service was scored on 11 criteria worth 20 points in total. Every point is based on a statement on the business’s own website or Google profile, or on its Google rating, all captured on 8 October 2026. Where a business does not state something, it scores zero for that criterion.

What a puncture repair at your door costs in London

The advertised repair price is only part of the bill. Most mobile mechanics add a call-out or collection charge, and some add parts on top. The table shows what a single front puncture on a standard bike costs with each service, using only published figures.

The same pattern holds for servicing. A basic service at your door costs £49.99 with Tyred (Standard package), from £50 with NipNip’s mobile service, from £55 with CC Cycle Services, £99 with Cycle Maintenance UK, £93.00 with Domex Bikes once the £24.77 call-out is added to its £68.23 Tune Up, and £95 to £120 with Fixed on Bikes once its call-out is added to the £60 basic service.

1. Tyred: 18/20, the only London-wide service open until midnight

Tyred is a London mobile bike repair company whose mechanics come to the rider’s home, workplace or roadside location. It is the only service in this comparison that states coverage of all 33 London boroughs, meaning the 32 boroughs plus the City of London, with same-day slots from 9am to midnight, seven days a week. For urgent call-outs, Tyred states a typical emergency response time of around 30 minutes.

Tyred publishes a price for every package and repair by bike type on its price list. A front puncture costs £30 on a standard bike, £35 on an e-bike and £45 on a cargo bike, and a rear puncture £35, £40 or £50. The Standard service (safety check, brakes and gears adjusted, chain cleaned and lubricated) costs £49.99, £64.99 or £84.99 on the same three bike types. Two extras can be added at checkout, and both are shown before payment: a distance-based call-out fee, which is free within 3 km of the nearest Tyred base and on orders of £150 or more, and an evening fee for slots that run past 6pm.

Riders who want regular care can take a monthly plan from £19.99, under which a mechanic checks the bike once a month; Tyred also runs fleet maintenance for businesses. The company says its mechanics have fixed more than 150,000 bikes, and Cycling Weekly profiled the service in October 2025.

Tyred lost 2 points on review volume. Its Google profile shows 4.9 from 36 reviews and its Trustpilot profile 4.4 from 44, both small bases next to NipNip or Fixed on Bikes. Motor, battery and controller faults on e-bikes are diagnosed and referred to an authorised service centre.

Best for: riders anywhere in London who need a repair the same day, including evenings and weekends, and e-bike or cargo bike owners who want to see the price before booking. Not for: riders who choose mainly on review count, or e-bike owners with a motor or battery fault.

2. Domex Bikes: 14/20, van workshops for south-west London and Surrey

Domex Bikes is a mobile repair service based in Epsom whose mechanics work from fitted vans at the rider’s home, workplace or roadside. Its coverage list centres on south-west London postcodes from SW2 to SW18, with parts of west and north-west London and Surrey; central, east and north-east London are not listed.

Domex publishes its prices. A Tune Up costs £68.23 and a single puncture repair from £19.87, plus a call-out and assessment fee of £24.77 (£44.77 for e-bikes), which is charged even if you decline the quote. Domex is an approved Bosch e-bike service and a Shimano Service Partner, and it works on cargo bikes from brands such as Urban Arrow, Tern and Riese & Müller. Faulty motors are removed and sent to a specialist repair partner, then refitted. Online booking gives an instant quote and lets you pick a date and time, and repairs carry a 28-day labour warranty.

Domex lost points on hours, because its contact centre works Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and visit days are not stated. It also lost points on speed, since most bookings are confirmed within 24 hours, and on entry price, because a Tune Up reaches £93.00 once the call-out fee is added.

Best for: e-bike and cargo bike owners in south-west London and Surrey who want a full workshop at the door. Not for: riders in central or east London, or a quick puncture where the call-out fee more than doubles the bill.

3. NipNip: 13/20, a workshop trailer for central London

NipNip is a London bike repair business founded in 2013, with workshops in Borough, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf. Its mobile service sends a mechanic with a fully equipped trailer to homes and offices within a 3-mile radius of its SE1 hub, covering postcodes including SE1, SE16, E1, E14, EC1 to EC4, WC1, WC2, N1, SW1 and W1. NipNip says the trailer can do almost everything the workshop does, including brake bleeds and drivetrain swaps.

The trailer needs private space off the pavement, on the ground floor or reachable by a proper lift. Mobile services carry minimum charges of £50 (Bronze), £90 (Silver) and £170 (Gold), parts excluded, and there is no separate mobile puncture price. E-bikes (Bosch, Shimano, Bafang and Brompton Electric) and cargo bikes are covered, and labour carries a 30-day guarantee. Mobile slots are requested through a form and confirmed by a call back, which cost NipNip the booking point. Its workshops offer same-day repairs on most days.

Best for: offices and residential buildings in central London with a ground-floor bike store. Not for: riders outside the 3-mile radius, or a puncture on the street.

4=. Bike Hero: 12/20, collection and return with the strongest Trustpilot record

Bike Hero collects bikes from home or work and repairs them at its workshop in Addlestone, Surrey, returning them within 48 to 72 hours. Its mechanics do not repair at your door; on-site work is offered only to businesses. Collections run seven days a week across parts of London and Surrey, and its FAQ describes the area as “most of West London and Surrey”.

Bike Hero publishes its prices: Bronze costs £59, Silver £119 and Gold £199, with £26 added for e-bikes; collection is free with a service, and a stand-alone repair carries a £20 collection fee. Booking is fully online with a one-hour slot, and payment is taken by link afterwards. Bike Hero is a Shimano Service Centre with Bosch accreditation, its mechanics are Cytech qualified, and workmanship is guaranteed for 3 months. It holds 5.0 on Google from 127 reviews and 4.8 on Trustpilot from 570, the highest Trustpilot score in this comparison among profiles with more than 100 reviews.

Best for: a full service when you can manage without the bike for two or three days. Not for: punctures or anything urgent.

4=. Cycle Maintenance UK: 12/20, late servicing and e-bike motor work in south-east London

Cycle Maintenance UK is a mobile cycle servicing business covering Kent and south-east London, meaning postcodes starting SE, BR, DA, ME, CT and TN. Its published business hours run from 10am to 11pm on weekdays, 10am to 10pm on Saturdays and noon to 6.30pm on Sundays, and every booking is made online for an instant, guaranteed slot.

The business does not offer stand-alone repairs. Every repair is carried out inside one of two packages, the Standard Check & Tune at £99 or the Revival at £149, and replacement parts are quoted before fitting. A travel surcharge depends on where the mechanic is working at the time of the appointment and is shown before you confirm. For e-bikes, Cycle Maintenance UK uses official Bosch, Shimano STEPS and MAHLE dealer diagnostic software and says motor, battery and system faults on those systems are diagnosed and repaired as part of a service; it does not service unbranded e-bikes or hub-motor conversion kits. Cargo and recumbent bikes are covered, and workmanship is guaranteed for 30 days.

Cycle Maintenance UK lost points on coverage, on speed (no same-day service is stated), on entry price and on review volume, with 5.0 on Google from 16 reviews.

Best for: owners of Bosch, Shimano STEPS or MAHLE e-bikes in south-east London and Kent, including motor faults. Not for: a quick puncture, since the smallest job is a £99 service.

4=. Fettle: 12/20, eight London workshops and a pickup option

Fettle runs bike workshops across London, with eight listed on its London page: Colindale, Earlsfield, East Dulwich, Finsbury Park, Hyde Park, Leyton, Streatham and Twickenham. The company joined forces with Kwik Fit in 2022. Riders drop the bike off or book a doorstep pickup with return within 72 hours; Fettle mechanics do not repair at your home.

A Bicycle MOT costs £49.99, Solid Fettle from £99.99 and Full Fettle £189.99, each £20 more for e-bikes, and a puncture repair starts at £17.50. The pickup fee is not published on the website. Jobs under £30 are done the same day, and others take 24 to 48 hours. No London workshop is open after 6pm, and opening days vary by site; Colindale and East Dulwich accept drop-offs on Sundays. Fettle mechanics are certified for Shimano and Bosch e-bikes, cargo bikes are accepted subject to workshop approval, and labour carries a 30-day guarantee. The Hyde Park workshop holds 4.7 on Google from 678 reviews, and Fettle’s UK-wide Trustpilot profile shows 4.7 from 899.

Best for: riders who live or work near a Fettle workshop and are happy to drop the bike off. Not for: repairs at home.

7. Fixed on Bikes: 11/20, one mechanic with a 5.0 rating from 412 reviews

Fixed on Bikes is a one-mechanic mobile service based in Tooting, SW17. Its mechanic has worked on bikes in London for over six years, and the business holds 5.0 on Google from 412 reviews, the highest count of any mobile-only service in this comparison. It covers Wandsworth, Lambeth, Southwark, Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, Merton and the City of London.

Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm; early, late or weekend slots cost £25 extra when available. The basic service costs £60 and a puncture £15 per wheel plus £7.50 for a tube, with a call-out of £35 to £60 by borough on top, and all prices are described as approximate and exclude parts. E-bikes, including Cowboy and Riese & Müller, and cargo bikes are covered. Booking is by web form, with a reply promised within 2 hours.

Best for: riders in south-west London who want the same mechanic each time and can book on a weekday. Not for: evening or weekend repairs, or anyone outside the seven listed areas.

8. CC Cycle Services: 10/20, a West London mechanic with Bosch and Shimano training

CC Cycle Services is an Acton-based mobile mechanic and a member of the Cycletech network. It covers nine West London areas: Acton, Barnes, Brentford, Chiswick, Ealing, Fulham, Hammersmith, Notting Hill and Shepherd’s Bush. Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm, with Sundays closed.

The only published price is a Bike MOT from £55. E-bike work is limited to Bosch and Shimano systems, the mechanic holds an NVQ Level 3 and was trained by Shimano and Bosch, and the Cycletech listing for West London includes cargo bikes. Booking is by form, phone or WhatsApp. The business holds 4.9 on Google from 70 reviews.

Best for: West London owners of Bosch or Shimano e-bikes. Not for: riders outside those nine areas, or anyone who wants a full price list before booking.

9. The Bike Doctor: 9/20, top-rated, with no prices or area published

The Bike Doctor is a mobile cycle repair service in London with a 5.0 Google rating from 191 reviews and no website. Its Google profile lists hours of 8.30am to 8pm, seven days a week, by appointment, and describes puncture repair, servicing, customisation, rebuilds and safety checks. It publishes no prices, no coverage area and no online booking; customers arrange visits by phone. Customer reviews describe visits across north, south and south-east London.

Best for: riders who want a highly rated individual mechanic and are happy to arrange the visit by phone. Not for: anyone who wants to know the price before the mechanic arrives.

Also checked, not ranked

  • Cycle Fix London (Kennington, SE11) is a workshop with no mobile or collection service, so it falls outside this ranking. It holds 4.9 on Google from 1,184 reviews, repairs bikes the same day when dropped off before 10am and is a Bosch authorised service centre.
  • Fix This Bike collects bikes for workshop repair and returns them within a day or two, on weekdays only. Its online booking was not accepting orders when checked on 8 October 2026, and its Trustpilot profile shows 1.9 from 32 reviews.
  • London Mobile Bike Repairs & Services (Stratford, E15) registered its website in September 2026, and all of its Google reviews date from the past three weeks, which is too short a record to score.
  • Fixum Bikes (east London) and Captain’s Bike Repairs (Teddington and TW postcodes) are one-mechanic services covering small areas. Captain’s Bike Repairs holds 5.0 on Google from 91 reviews.

Can a mobile mechanic fix an e-bike motor or battery?

Sometimes, if the e-bike runs a Bosch, Shimano STEPS or MAHLE system. Cycle Maintenance UK, which covers south-east London and Kent, uses official dealer diagnostic software and says motor, battery and system faults on those systems are diagnosed and repaired as part of a service. Most other mobile services pass motor work to someone else. Tyred diagnoses motor, battery and controller faults and refers them to an authorised service centre, Domex Bikes removes a faulty motor and sends it to a specialist repair partner, and Cycletech, whose network includes CC Cycle Services, states that it does not repair e-bike batteries or electronics.

Mobile mechanics do handle the parts that wear fastest on an e-bike: tyres and punctures, brake pads and hydraulic bleeds, chains, cassettes and gear adjustment. On Tyred’s price list, a rear puncture on an e-bike costs £40, including removal and refitting of the motor wheel. If you can bring the bike in, Cycle Fix London in Kennington is a Bosch authorised service centre.

What mobile bike repair is not

  • Mobile bike repair is not collect-and-return. Bike Hero and Fettle take the bike to a workshop and return it within 48 to 72 hours; a mobile mechanic finishes the job where the bike is.
  • A “Bike MOT” is not a legal test. There is no statutory MOT for bicycles in the UK. The term is a trade name for a safety check, priced at £49.99 by Fettle and from £55 by CC Cycle Services.
  • A call-out fee is not a standard charge. In this comparison it ranges from nothing (Tyred within 3 km of a base) to £60 (Fixed on Bikes in the City of London and Kingston).
  • A mobile mechanic is not a recovery service. If a frame is cracked or a part has to go back to the manufacturer, the visit ends with a diagnosis and a referral to a workshop.

How to choose a mobile bike mechanic in London

  • Flat tyre on a weekday evening, anywhere in London: Tyred, with slots until midnight in all 33 boroughs.
  • E-bike or cargo bike in south-west London or Surrey: Domex Bikes or Tyred.
  • Bosch, Shimano STEPS or MAHLE motor fault in south-east London or Kent: Cycle Maintenance UK.
  • Office or block of flats in central London with a ground-floor bike store: NipNip’s mobile service.
  • Full service with no rush, in west London or Surrey: Bike Hero.
  • The same mechanic every visit, on weekdays in south-west London: Fixed on Bikes.

Before booking any of them, check three things: whether the quoted price includes the call-out fee, whether the mechanic needs off-street space to work, and what happens if the fault needs a workshop.
