She was at the centre of one of British boxing’s most famous households for fifteen years, appeared on national television during the marriage, and has since changed her name and said almost nothing on the public record.
Chris Eubank Jr. told reporters in November 2025 that he wanted to raise his twin boys the way he had been raised. “Just like my old man did for me,” he said. Weeks earlier, speaking to The Independent, he described his parents’ split as very public and embarrassing, something that determined how he handled his own private life. He was talking about the same childhood. The person who ran that household was Karron Eubank.
Born Karron Suzanne Stephen-Martin, she was married to British boxing champion Chris Eubank Sr. from December 1990 until around 2005. They raised four children together in Hove, East Sussex. She appeared on national television during the marriage, lived through a very public divorce, and has since remarried under the name Karron Meadows. In July 2021, when her son Sebastian died in Dubai, she issued a statement through Sky Sports and has said almost nothing publicly since.

Life Before Chris Eubank Sr.
She was already the mother of his son when Chris Eubank beat Nigel Benn.
On 18 November 1990, Eubank won the WBO middleweight title at the NEC Birmingham and became one of the most recognisable athletes in British sport almost overnight. His son, Chris Eubank Jr., had been born in Hove on 18 September 1989, more than a year before that fight. Karron Stephen-Martin was in his life before any of it arrived. She knew him before the belt, before the country had formed any opinion about him. They married the following month, in December 1990.
The Marriage
Chris Eubank Sr. built his career through the 1990s as one of British sport’s most conspicuous figures. He won the WBO middleweight title and later the super-middleweight belt, retired in 1998 with a record of 45 wins from 52 professional fights, and became as well known for his personality as his boxing. Karron and Chris raised their family in Hove throughout this period.
Every profile of her calls her intensely private. She was on national television in 2002 and 2003.
March 2002: Louis Theroux’s documentary When Louis Met… Chris Eubank aired on BBC Two. Karron appeared as herself and spoke on camera about her husband’s shortcomings while he was elsewhere in the house. The film drew a significant primetime audience.
September 2003: Channel 5 broadcast At Home with the Eubanks, a Carlton Television production. The Guardian reviewed it. The Financial Times ran a family interview. One documented episode followed Karron and Chris on a birthday trip to Paris where, despite the expense of the weekend, Chris had not bought her a present.
Her Four Children
Karron and Chris Eubank Sr. had four children together:
| Child | Date of Birth | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Chris Eubank Jr. | 18 September 1989 | Professional boxer, IBO Middleweight Champion |
| Sebastian Eubank | 18 July 1991 | Boxer and personal trainer, died July 2021 |
| Emily Eubank | c. 1994 | Lives privately |
| Joseph Eubank | c. 1996 | Lives privately |
Chris Eubank Sr. has five children in total, not four. His fifth, Nathanael Wilson, was born from a relationship with Cynthia Wilson in the late 1980s, before the marriage to Karron. Nathanael, who trains out of Croydon and boxes professionally, reconciled with his father in 2017. He is not Karron’s son.
The Divorce
The marriage ended around 2005. Chris Eubank Sr. later married Claire Geary in 2014.
Chris Eubank Jr. spoke about the split in November 2025 while explaining to The Independent why he keeps his own relationships entirely off the record:
“Their split was very public, and it was hard to watch, and it was embarrassing. Everybody knew that my parents were getting divorced, and I knew from that age that, whatever relationship I got into, I wasn’t going to make it public.”

That decision followed him into his mid-thirties. He did not disclose that he was expecting twin boys until days before the Benn rematch.
Karron Meadows
After the divorce, Karron remarried around 2011 and took the surname Meadows.
By the time Sebastian died in July 2021, both the BBC and Sky Sports used the name Karron Meadows in their coverage without explanation. It had clearly been in place for years.
What Happened to Sebastian Eubank
Sebastian Eubank died on 8 July 2021 at Cove Beach, Dubai. He was 29, days before his 30th birthday on 18 July, and one month after his son Raheem was born.
His widow, Salma Abdelati, confirmed that the Dubai coroner found a pre-existing heart condition the family had no knowledge of. Sebastian suffered a massive heart attack while standing in the sea watching the sunset with a close friend, after spending the evening eating one of his favourite meals.
He grew up in Hove and later built a life in Dubai as a personal trainer and professional boxer, fighting under the name Alka Lion. His professional debut came in February 2018 against Polish fighter Kamil Kulczyk, promoted by the Sauerland Brothers, who described him as “a true gentleman and a sincere human being who lighted up a room when he walked in.” He was buried in Dubai.
Karron’s statement, confirmed by both the BBC and Sky Sports:
“Our whole family is grieving at the huge loss of our son and brother, Sebastian. Please respect our grief and privacy while we try to comprehend our loss.”
Karron Meadows, July 2021
Chris Eubank Jr., speaking ahead of the first Benn fight, said: “I have a brother who is buried in the desert in Dubai. That is pain.”
The Sebastian Eubank Charitable Foundation
A registered UK charity was established in Sebastian’s name following his death:
- Registration: 1196176 (UK Charity Commission)
- Where it operates: Sudan
- Focus: Children and young people, poverty relief, disability support
Chris Eubank Sr. described his son in his tribute as “a deep thinker who liked to challenge accepted wisdom.”
Karron Eubank in 2026
In April 2025, Chris Eubank Jr. beat Conor Benn by unanimous decision at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in front of 67,484 people. He had won the IBO middleweight title the previous October. Before the rematch that November, he announced he was expecting twin boys.
Sebastian’s son Raheem is five years old. The Sebastian Eubank Charitable Foundation continues operating in Sudan. Karron Meadows has not given a press interview, and her name appears in none of the ringside coverage of her son’s career.
She asked for privacy in July 2021. In June 2026, she still has it.
